If you’ve ever sat down just to flip through your binders “for a minute” and suddenly it’s an hour later, you’re exactly the kind of person we think about when we design. We actively listen to feedback from collectors, shops and event visitors and adjust our products and line-up based on what you actually need.
Many of our formats and colors exist because someone asked for them at an event or online. If you’ve ever thought “why doesn’t anyone make a binder like this?”, that’s exactly the kind of question we want to answer.
Behind the brand
PremiumSets was founded by me, Roos Furman, a collector from the Netherlands. About three years ago I noticed that most binders available in Europe were very expensive and still did not feel like good quality. As a collector I thought: this can be done better.
At first my focus was simple: create binders that actually felt solid, strong materials, smooth zippers and pages I trusted with my own favourite cards. I wanted storage that felt as good as the collection inside it, something that really reflected my passion.
But as I talked to more collectors and visited events, I kept hearing the same thing: people were missing choice. Not only in quality, but in colors, designs and formats. Many collectors had PSA graded slabs, coins, pins, jumbo cards and sealed booster packs alongside their regular cards. Everyone had their own way of collecting, yet the market mostly supported just standard card binders.
Most products were still designed as if collecting was only about flat cards in one type of binder. What I saw at events and in people’s collections was something very different: personal combinations of all kinds of items brought together in one place. There was a clear gap between how people collect and the binders and storage options available to them. If collections are this diverse, storage should be designed to match that and that became my vision for PremiumSets.
So PremiumSets grew step by step. What started as looking for a nicer binder for my own cards turned into designing new formats, new colors and new layouts that actually fit the way people really collect from regular sets to slabs, coins, jumbos and sealed items. Each new design is created with that same goal: to give your collection a binder that feels like it was made for it.
Today PremiumSets is still a independent brand built around that same idea: making binders that feel good to use, look clean on the shelf and give collectors storage they are happy to choose for their favourite cards and collectibles.
